Its an asian love tang!

Ahhhhh love and romance is all around in Asia, there are stories everywhere you go, on film on radio, in history, same same but different...Here's some examples I've come across on me travels

India: Boy meets girl, boy dances with girl, everyone in the village dances and sings along, boy cannot kiss girl (on account of it not being allowed on TV) so instead boy dry humps trees and girl lustily sucks on ice lollies. Evil mother puts halt to path of true love, she from the wrong side of the caste system, simply will not do...everyone sings and dances anyway and has jolly good old time

Nepal: Similar story but boy and girl wearing slightly warmer clothes. Evil mother tries to put halt on path of true love, after checking the family tree, turns out they are second cousins and slight fear of 3 headed children, everyone dances and sings along, boy kills everyone in the family

Tibetan: Girl meets monk, monks meets desire. Boy and girl fall in love but being a good Buddhist he must first understand the true meaning of suffering therefore he is forced to bonk the evil Indian farm girl- tragic

Thai: Boy meets elephant, elephant is kidnapped, boy learns kungfu and goes to Australia (?!) to rescue it. It has been kidnapped by the evil Chinese regime who for some reason need a golden elephant to take over the world, boy kungfu's his way through Sidney and dies in the elephants arms. Boy never actually meets girl, cus lets face it, you can have it anyway you want it in Bangkok for a few baht right?

Cambodia: Boy meets girl. In this version of events he manages to win the heart of his fair lady by dancing around a table with a whole roasted pig on it, wafting the smell of pork in her face. Girl is smitten. Everyone in the village is happy, dances and helps in errrr... the wafting- I'm serious, its tricky.

ha ha ha I love Asia!

So, to all of you out there, have a fab fab christmas and amazing new year, may you have peace, happiness and plenty of wafting in 2006!
